When you choose to receive Personalized Recommendations, we will provide you with custom health and wellness recommendations, offers and other information based on your sensitive data categories such as your Genetic Information, ancestry or self-reported health conditions. Your choice will not affect your access to 23andMe products and services you are otherwise eligible to receive, and if you choose to opt in you can opt out at any time in your Account Settings. We will not sell any Personal Information about you as a result of your choice to receive Personalized Recommendations.

Personalized Recommendations are NOT a substitute for a clinical examination, medical recommendation, and/or medical treatment by a qualified healthcare provider. What are "sensitive data categories"?
Sensitive data categories include information like your health conditions, Genetic Information or ancestry. This information may come from your Self-Reported Information, including information you provide to 23andMe for 23andMe Research or through other 23andMe surveys and features. See our Privacy Statement and Terms of Service for additional information on our privacy and security practices.
Can I change or withdraw my consent?
Yes, you may change or withdraw your consent any time to receive (or not receive) Personalized Recommendations from within your 23andMe Account Settings.
Your consent selection is displayed on your Account Settings page; to change your consent, click the change consent link that appears where your current consent status is displayed.
What happens if I decline to receive Personalized Recommendations?
Deciding not to receive Personalized Recommendations will not otherwise affect your experience in 23andMe. For example, you will receive the same access to general updates, new 23andMe reports and tools you are eligible to receive otherwise.
If I choose to receive Personalized Recommendations, who will have access to data about me?
Our Privacy Statement describes how we share your data. Choosing to receive Personalized Recommendations will not result in any additional sharing of your individual-level data.
If we provide you with an offer from a 23andMe collaborator, the communication will come directly from us.
For example, these offers may include confirmatory testing or research opportunities. If you decide to take advantage of the offer, you may be directed to the collaborator’s website and you can then choose whether or not you would like to share your information with them directly.
Do you sell my Personal Information to provide me with Personalized Recommendations?
No. Your Personal Information is NOT SOLD to any third party as a result of your participation in Personalized Recommendations.
