By making your profile name visible to all 23andMe members, you'll make your profile name visible in your public profile and to your matches in DNA Relatives. Your name and profile information will also be searchable by other 23andMe users.
The visibility of each piece of profile information you provide here (for example, your Birth Year) is independent of your profile name visibility.
As of November 12, 2015, anonymous participants may no longer receive introductions or messages in DNA Relatives. If you are participating in DNA Relatives and would like to be eligible to receive messages from your matches, you will need to update your profile settings either in your profile or in DNA Relatives.
