What are 23andMe Research Discoveries?

23andMe Research Discoveries are genetic or non-genetic associations that 23andMe has found thanks to the participation of customers who have agreed to be a part of research at 23andMe and have answered online questionnaires.

23andMe Research Discoveries include both published findings as well as preliminary findings shared prior to publication and findings that may not be published. (Published findings will state the relevant citation.) Through these Research Findings, we keep the general public updated on the progress of our research and provide our customers with a window into the new knowledge that their participation has helped create.

We hope to publish many of our Research Discoveries in peer-reviewed scientific journals and incorporate them into the Personal Genetic Service as part of our ongoing commitment to provide customers with new and interesting information about themselves.
